In order to keep up with their rapid growth over the past few years, Rising Tide Brewery decided to begin packaging their core beers in 12 oz bottles for the first time, and came to Might & Main for a the design. In addition to the 12 oz bottles, we designed 4-pack carriers, reworked their logo and brand elements, and designed and developed a new website.

Design, with sustainability in mind, for Mercury Inn

Formerly known as The Wild Iris Inn, the house at 273 State Street has been a place for travelers for over 20 years. With special attention to Portland’s proud local ethos and an eye towards sustainable living, new owners Tim Karu and Jacob Krueger began a complete overhaul of the property in late 2013, reopening this winter as Mercury Inn.

Central Provisions Brand Design

As one of Portland’s oldest buildings, 414 Fore Street has seen it all. During the early 19th century, back when Wharf Street bordered the Atlantic, The East India Trading Company unloaded silk, indigo, and salt at its doors directly. It was one of the few downtown buildings that escaped The Great Fire of 1866, which took nearly half of Portland with it. Most recently, in early 2013, Chris and Paige Gould purchased the building and began an extensive renovation, transforming the historic building into Central Provisions, an incredible new restaurant.

Eventide Oyster Co. is the newest arrival to the Portland restaurant scene and is unique in presenting a “revival of the great American oyster bar ... pristine shellfish and a fresh take on classic New England fare” as well as experimental cocktails and spirits infusions. Might & Main was extremely honored to have been selected to help Eventide with strategy, branding and design; a very satisfying process led to a result we feel proud to have had a hand in.

The new HoneyMaker Mead website focuses visitors on the high quality, local ingredients used in each batch of mead. Realizing a large segment of the market remains unaware of what mead is, we spent a considerable amount of time developing a way to illustrate to visitors just what mead is and then, through explanation of each flavor, which flavors they might enjoy most.
