And they called it The Oxbowl

Two weeks before the Superbowl, we got a call from our friends at Eventide: For one night only, as the Broncos faced off against the Seahawks, they'd partner with Oxbow Brewery and transform the restaurant into Eventide Bar & Grill. Brown butter lobster rolls and Arctic char would be replaced with buffalo wings, ribs, chili, and all the comforts of a traditional Superbowl party, except done Eventide style. An assortment of Oxbow brews on draft, for only $5, would complete the menu. 60 inch plasmas would be brought in to watch the game. And they'd call it the Oxbowl.

Obviously, we were down, and took the lead on designing special logos, emblems, and menus for the event. Out were the handmade touches and maritime influences that inform the Eventide brand, and in were faux-distressed type, sporty headers, pigskin textures, in-your-face blocks of content, and all things 'Merica.

NFL-esque shields, a star studded Eventide E, and a custom Oxbowl logo were certainly in order.

Sporty headers and direct descriptions of the all-you-can-eat offerings made this event one for the ages.

Custom pigskin imagery for Eventbrite and Facebook pages? Damn right.

Hell, there was even a video promo for this thing! (Created by our friends at Portland Post Production.)
