Might & Main recently launched a revamp of ChelseasTable.com, the website for Chelsea's Table, a New York and Connecticut-based café and catering company co-founded by Stonyfield Farm President Gary Hirshberg. The update added new site sections, slightly reworked the user interface, and incorporated additional photography and more interactive functionality.
Chelsea's Table is located within the mega sports complexes of Chelsea Piers New York and Chelsea Piers Stamford, extensive sports facilities where some of the nation's top athletes, as well as thousands of children, train and exercise each day on an indoor ice rink, soccer fields and courts, gymnastics facilities, golf courses, a skate park, and more. Chelsea's Table provides healthy organic and local food that is also quick and easy—a perfect combo for the busy athletes and active families who frequent the recreational programs at Chelsea Piers.
The Chelsea's Table website revamp aimed to increase taste appeal and visual interest, better showcase the fresh, natural menu offerings, and provide more easily accessible information around the restaurant's sources and mission. We incorporated more large-scale photography and active design elements in order to present the menu, sustainability info and other content in a more dynamic, interesting way that encourages user interaction and discovery.
The original Chelsea's Table site, which we built last year, was scaled back for initial launch in order to accommodate a tight timeline and limited photo assets, but because we built the site infrastructure with a future face-lift in mind, we were well-positioned to quickly implement the design changes. The result is a relatively low-impact update that gets big results in terms of increased appeal and interest.
